I was in and out of the hospital 3-4 times before i was 2. I got croup and remember those damned mist tents and cage beds. Tonsils removed in first grade. Almost overnight after my car accident when i was 14. Almost again for wisdom teeth removed (and the incurring misprescription). Overnight for my knee surgery when i was 18, and half a night when i got the screws out. Almost an overnight for my car accident 4 years ago. A couple other times that i'd rather not think about.

I saw the fireworks from the actual Mall in Washington last night. We were trying to get to the Lincoln Memorial, and instead got one of, if not the best views I have ever seen of fireworks, anywhere.

Yesterday was Independence Day, indeed. After setting the computers on the floor to rickroll you when you booted up Safari as a final salute to Apple, to doing the tourist thing in a crush of possibly half a million people, to .. breaking old thoughts, and feelings, to bringing more to life than ever before, and wanting more.

I have less than two weeks, and I have to pack, and I have to do a few more things. But the next couple days is a mixture of both.

I have a goal, I have a thought, and for once, I might, just might, have something far far greater beyond what I could ever believe, or hope, possible.

NOW! back to packing.

if i am not around a lot this weekend, don't be alarmed. it's July 4, it's DC, and I'm going to be dong the touristy thing with some friends in from out of town.

In other news, Independence Day is also my last day at Apple. Woo. WOO I SAY.

Four and a half days left at Apple. My last day is Monday, but offically the last day is Friday July 4 as it's the end of the pay period.

I think I will be back in Kansas by July 13-14, if not then, the weekend of the 26th.

My parents found an adorable house. Rather small, but I don't need much.

I'm totally going to finally work on my books when I move back. And do a ton of reading at the Newton library. and I have to find a job very quickly.
